Leading UK commercial lighting manufacturer Whitecroft Lighting is beaming into Belfast on 9th June, with a mission to help shape the future of lighting.
Hosted at Belfast’s Titanic Distillers, The Smart Projects Roadshow will bring together people working at the forefront of building design, construction and facilities management from across Northern Ireland to explore how cutting-edge smart lighting technology can overcome some of the industry’s most pressing challenges.
These include sensor-driven approaches to energy efficiency and carbon reduction, smarter project management and logistics, and leveraging data across buildings and projects.
Lighting in commercial buildings, such as offices, schools, hospitals, universities and data centres, now increasingly incorporates sensor networks, control systems and data processing platforms.
The lighting and support systems integrate with the latest smart and connected buildings to give mechanical and electrical (M&E) contractors, consultants, designers, and facilities, building and project managers, powerful new data-driven tools.
This can deliver new levels of lighting quality along with energy and carbon efficiency, and The Smart Projects Roadshow is part of Whitecroft’s mission to innovate across the supply chain and ensure that the future direction of research and development meets the needs of the market.
“Lighting technology is moving beyond simple illumination” said Matt Paskin, Solutions and Marketing Director, at Whitecroft Lighting: “Within the next decade, it is set to become the invisible engine of productivity, constantly sensing, learning and adapting to how people use and interact with their space.
“But innovation is as much about evolution as revolution, and significant elements of the technologies that will drive radical change tomorrow are already available and solving real problems today.
Matt concludes: “The Smart Project Roadshow is about sharing what’s possible now, whilst also listening and understanding how innovation can speed up building projects by reducing complexity and friction at every stage.
Whitecroft Lighting has a long history of lighting buildings in Northern Ireland, and significant recent projects have included Microsoft’s base at Belfast’s City Quays, Belfast City Hospital, St. Ronan’s College in Lurgan, and Lakewood Children’s Centre in Bangor.
The Belfast Smart Projects Roadshow will run from 4.30pm to 7.30pm. To signup, visit Info.WhitecroftLighting.com/Smart-Projects-Roadshow
