Co. Antrim Hypnotherapist Confirmed As Speaker At Social Media Fest Belfast

A Co. Antrim hypnotherapist who helps people break through fear, anxiety and self-doubt has been confirmed as a speaker at Social Media Fest Belfast.

Turan Mirza, from Feel Good Hypnosis, will take to the stage at the Clayton Hotel in Belfast on Wednesday, April 29, as part of the final speaker line-up for the sixth edition of the event.

Social Media Fest, which has previously taken place in Wexford and Dublin, is coming to Belfast for the first time with a full-day conference built around the theme “Connect, Create, Conquer: Mastering the Social Media Landscape”.

Running from 9am to 5pm, the event is aimed at business owners, managers, entrepreneurs, marketers, freelancers and creators who want practical guidance on growing their presence online.

Turan, who is from Carrickfergus and whose business is based in Ballinderry Upper, just outside Glenavy, will deliver “Conquer Your Social Media Fears: Mindset Mastery for Creators”.

The session will explore how hypnosis can help creators break through fear, boost confidence and show up more powerfully online.

Turan is a hypnotist and clinical hypnotherapist who helps people improve their mindset with the tools and techniques known as hypnosis. He has trained with leading names around the world and has developed a unique style of his own.

He has presented talks at hypnosis conventions around the world, including Hypnothoughts Live in Las Vegas, The Hypnosis Convention in Zurich, The UK Hypnosis Convention in London and just this weekend has presented at the Irish Hypnosis Convention in Dublin.

Turan has also won awards for his work, was selected by Small Business Saturday 2021 to be part of the #SmallBiz100 and has written a weekly column for the Alpha Group of newspapers.

In his Social Media Fest session, attendees will discover how subconscious fears such as social anxiety, self-doubt and fear of failure can shape the way they show up online, and how hypnosis can interrupt those patterns quickly and effectively with practical tools and advice they can take away and use.

Speaking about why he wanted to take part, Turan said: “Mindset is a crucial part of any business, and it’s just as essential in the world of social media. After helping so many creators overcome anxiety, self-doubt, and performance pressure, I felt it was important to share how effective hypnosis can be in transforming the way people show up online.”

He added: “I think the concept behind SocialMediaFest is fantastic. It brings together so many valuable skills, insights, and perspectives into one powerful day of learning. For anyone working in or around social media, it’s an incredible opportunity to grow, connect, and be inspired, it’s going to be a brilliant event.”

Conference director Esther Ocampo said Social Media Fest Belfast is designed to give businesses practical, locally relevant advice they can use straight away.

She explained: “We’ve spent four events building something in Dublin and Wexford that people genuinely value, and the appetite from Northern Ireland has been impossible to ignore.

“Belfast is a city full of ambitious business owners who deserve access to the same quality of conversation and the same practical tools that our southern attendees have been benefiting from. Bringing Social Media Fest to Belfast felt like the natural next step.”

What organisers say sets this conference apart from others in the sector is its deliberate focus on speakers who understand the specific realities of hyperlocal markets, delivering advice that attendees can act on immediately to make a difference in their business.

Esther added: “There’s a tendency at conferences to bring in people from major cities in England or the US who tell you what is working for brands with enormous budgets, and you sit there thinking, that is never going to apply to my business. That is not what Social Media Fest is about.

“Every speaker at this event understands the local market. They know what it takes to build a business here, to reach customers here, and to grow from here. The advice you will hear on the day is advice you can take out of the room and use immediately, whether that means connecting with the person beside you, posting something that afternoon, or finally tackling the platform you have been putting off for months.”
