PM Big Band Swings Into Action With Eurovision Legend, Dana In Aid Of Marie Curie

Celebrate an unforgettable evening of music in support of Marie Curie Hospice Northern Ireland with the PM Big Band, featuring vocalists Ceara Grehan and David Hamilton (pictured) at Theatre at The Mill, Newtownabbey on Friday 31 May at 7.45pm

This one-off performance, A Big Band for a Big Cause, promises a thrilling journey through the golden age of swing. Toe tap to timeless classics by Frank Sinatra, Glenn Miller, and Count Basie, then move to modern favourites by Michael Bublé, Amy Winehouse, and the legendary Tom Jones.

Adding a touch of extra sparkle, the evening welcomes special guest Dana! The 1970 Eurovision Song Contest winner with “All Kinds of Everything,” Dana boasts a phenomenal career spanning national and international charts, as well as captivating West End performances.

This evening is the brainchild of Danny Hagan (pictured), who recently lost his father, Joe Hagan, to cancer. During Joe’s final days, Marie Curie provided incredible care and emotional support to both his father and their family. This experience deeply affected Danny, who wants to host this special event to celebrate Marie Curie’s tireless work and show his appreciation for the comfort they provided during a difficult time.

Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor Mark Cooper commented,

‘I am delighted that Theatre at The Mill is hosting this fantastic event in aid of Marie Curie. Unfortunately, we all know someone affected by the heartbreak of Cancer and this is the perfect opportunity for us to come together and raise money to support the amazing round the clock care that Marie Curie provide.’

Don’t miss this chance to experience a night brimming with music, song, and the joy of supporting a vital charity.
