Translink has announced the launch of an Equality Impact Assessment (EQIA) public consultation on potential changes to public transport services and fare discount schemes.
The consultation will run for 12 weeks, closing on September 30th. It provides an important opportunity for passengers, stakeholders and the wider public to share their views and help inform a full assessment of potential impacts.
This EQIA comes at a time of significant financial pressure on the public transport network, driven by reductions in funding in real terms. The consultation will support informed decision-making on how services are delivered across Northern Ireland, ensuring they remain as sustainable and effective as possible.
Translink will continue to work closely with the Department for Infrastructure to assess funding requirements and the level of service that can be delivered in the future.
Further information, including details on how to take part, is available at www.translink.co.uk/publicconsultation .
