Local Author on board with Translink’s Novel Journeys for International Women’s Day

Translink is marking International Women’s Day with a brand-new format for their monthly Novel Journeys Book Club. The online book club, in partnership with independent bookstore No Alibis has marked its anniversary with an expanded offering for its second year. The new ‘Novel Journeys Monthly Digest’ will include a book pick for children as well as adults, and for the first time the book club will also recommend a podcast.

Translink hopes the new format will entice readers and now listeners of all abilities to embark on a Novel Journey. This month the Book Club’s recommendations centre around the theme of empowering women. The book of the month ‘Dance Move’ comes from East Belfast based author Wendy Erskine, whilst the children’s pick is ‘Dreams for our Daughters’ by Ruth Doyle and Ashling Lindsay. The newly featured podcast selected is ‘Now You’re Asking’ from popular Irish author Marian Keyes and actress Tara Flynn.
